Production Planner / Scheduler

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work for an expanding Manufacturing and Site Maintenance Services company servicing a wide range of clients and industries across the world, including diversified global mining organisations. Our Workshops operate some of the best machines available in the market and has the technology to support this. Our Site Maintenance Services specialise in heavy rotating equipment and onsite machining whilst providing highly skilled labour for shutdowns. Our staff truly operate as one united workgroup, and we are committed to the values of our organisation at all levels.

This role includes:

Gathering information and key documents from Engineering and Operations to coordinate the following:

·         Creating job plans  / schedule

·         Create / update the planned work delivery forecast

·         Coordinating and pre-ordering parts to ensure adequate resources are available to complete scheduled repairs

·         Monitor and control WIP (Work in Progress) levels

·         Ensure parts, components and materials are available for weekly planning window


The successful candidate will have:

·         A technical background, trade qualified or equivalent experience.

·         Demonstrated experience in a Planning & Scheduling environment, 5+ years experience

·         Demonstrated time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with competing deadlines.

·         Proactive approach to gathering and collating information from key sources

·         Well-developed analytic and problem solving skills

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Computer literate with demonstrated experience with

o   Primavera,

o   MS Project,

o   Microsoft Office Suite 

o   Works Management Systems.


Fabrication / Welding Supervisor

This is a key role within our organisation and is responsible for supervising the fabrication workshop to achieve high quality works, delivered to a schedule and budget.


Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience at a Supervisory level;
  • Mechanical Trade Qualification;
  • Welding Supervisor Certificate 10 (desirable / highly regarded)
  • Experience with fabrication / welding of diverse works ranging from structural items, gearboxes, heat exchangers / pressure vessels & a production line producing high volume / repeat items;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in line with schedules / forecasts;
  • Understand employee relations requirements;
  • Sound management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for the effective utilisation of manpower, material and equipment provided, ensuring all is completed on time and within budget;
  • Ensure that quality of works carried out is compliant to Company and Client Specifications;
  • Assist in the development of scopes of works and estimates for future works
  • Development and management of the job work packs
  • Provide detailed information of the works to planner for scheduling
  • Ensure compliance to all EH&S Policies and Procedures;
  • Reporting to the Production Manager.


CNC Lathe operator

·         Trade qualified 1st class machinist; preferably with 5 + yrs experience

·         Must have demonstrable experience in programing, setting and operating CNC lathes with FANUC operating software

·         Thread cutting experience preferable

·         Production based background desirable

·         High-risk tickets for Forklift and overhead crane preferable


5-Axis Mill operator

·         Trade qualified 1st class machinist; preferably with 5 + yrs experience

·         Must have demonstrable experience in programing, setting and operating 5-axis milling machines with Siemens software

·         Production based back ground desirable

·         High-risk tickets for Forklift and overhead crane desirable

1st Class Machinist

·         Manual lathe experience

·         High-risk tickets for both Forklift and overhead crane essential



·         All positions are full time and available for immediate start

·         Wages are negotiable pending your experience with a competitive flat rate on offer for all hours worked Mon - Fri plus loadings as appropriate
